Swords and Shields: Surviving the Battle of Life

Life is a battle, nowadays more than ever, and it can leave us feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and disconnected. How do we deal with all this stress and anxiety? Over the course of this workshop, I am going to help you build a foundation of understanding into what is happening in our bodies and minds when we experience stress and how to become more attuned to your own emotional system. I will provide you with tools and exercises that will focus both on addressing in-the-moment stress and building resilience so that it’s easier to bounce back when something happens. We practice these skills throughout the workshop to ensure you leave feeling confident that you can incorporate them into your life in the way that works best for you.

Objectives:
  1. You will be able to understand how stress impacts your nervous system both psychologically and physiologically.
  2. You will be able to map your own emotions: identifying your thoughts, sensations, and actions as your emotional intensity rises.
  3. You will have tools to help yourself build resilience.
  4. You will have tools to manage stress and emotionally regulate in difficult moments.
  5. You will have tools to process difficult moments you have experienced.
