Helpful Resources
As someone who loves being a therapist, I truly enjoy supporting and helping others, but I want to be realistic. I recognize that I’m only human and can’t be all things to all people, and that’s okay! There might be times when my expertise or availability might not be the perfect fit for someone who comes to me.
Even in these cases, I’m still committed to helping in whatever way I can! For those instances when I might not be the best option, I make a point to offer alternative resources that can assist them with their concern. Whether that’s recommending other therapists, community programs, support groups, or readings, you can count on me to provide information and support that can help empower you to overcome your challenges.

Marie Horon MA, LPC, RPT, NCC
I believe that EVERYONE has the ability to be successful no matter your past or present. Growing up, loss and death was a common occurrence in my life, and, as a result, I struggled with my emotions. It was in high school that I my work with a counselor helped me feel heard and validated. That is when I decided that I wanted to give that to others. I originally set out in 2013 to work with teenagers, but, as time went on, I began expanding my scope. I now work with all ages of the family system: (children, school aged, parents and couples). I specialize in Play Therapy, trauma, depression and anxiety. Play Therapy is an awesome tool for communication that can be used in a multitude of areas.

"I need information, not therapy."
A therapy session isn't always the answer.
As a therapist, it’s important to understand that not everyone is looking for guidance and support or necessarily requires counseling services. Sometimes, people just need a reliable source of information or direction towards a trustworthy support system that can help them cope with their problems. Providing this kind of information and support can be just as important as offering therapeutic services. Here are some potentially helpful resources (websites, organizations, etc.) for that assistance when therapy isn’t it.
